Black Friday, you either love it or hate it. If you’re like me, you love the fact that in the age of technology you never have to leave your home to get all those bargain deals.
I’ve taken to combating the Black Friday fever by sitting on my couch or in my home office and clicking away.
Why battle crowds and long checkout lines when you can sit in a comfortable chair and select just the right gift for every member of your family?
All those concerns about extra shipping costs? Forget them. Most retailers will offer you free shipping.
Amazon.com (for which this site is an affiliate) offers their Prime membership and I’m hear to tell you it’s the investment that will pay off for the holidays and the rest of the year.
Prime costs $99 a year, but with that, you get 2-day free shipping on just about any item imaginable for a variety of different retailers as well as Amazon. Some items offer FREE one-day shipping.
They also add in Prime Music, Prime Video, Prime Photos and a Kindle Lending Library.
It’s good for a calendar year so while you save money during the holidays, you continue to save money throughout the year.
I can’t tout the benefits of this membership enough. I’ve used the free shipping and video benefits extensively through the year and have always been satisfied with the service.
As an added bonus, you can also gift someone with a Amazon Prime membership. It’s unique and useful for the online shoppers in your family.
This year, Amazon has gone a step further to make Black Friday easy. How you ask? Well, by offering deals BEFORE the big day!
According to Wired, this year Amazon is offering deals and steals every day leading up to Black Friday. Along with a mobile app-only deals.
“…Amazon is giving mobile shopping a huge boost. The company says it will offer a slew of app-only deals and two-hour delivery on certain items through the holiday. Customers can mark the deals they’re most excited about using a feature called “Watch a Deal,” which pushes a notification to their smartphones once the offer is live.”
So, forget about getting out before the crack of dawn, dish out some Thanksgiving leftovers and settle in for some stress-free Black Friday shopping compliments of Amazon and the other retailers ready with just the right gift for everyone on your list.
The biggest fight you’ll witness is between the New York Rangers and Boston Bruins on NBC’s 2015 Discover NHL Thanksgiving Showdown, not adults fighting over televisions!
